On July 18, 2002, the State filed a bill of information charging the defendant-appellant, Mirodello Ashford, with two counts of violating La. R.S. 14:64 relative to armed robbery. On January 16, 2003, Mr. Ashford was found guilty as charged on both counts. The State filed a multiple bill of information charging that Mr. Ashford was a third time offender.
