The defendant Robert L. Cosey, a/k/a James L. Knighton, was charged by bill of information on March 23, 2001, with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2. The defendant pleaded not guilty at his March 30, 2001 arraignment. On June 18, 2001, the trial court denied the defendant's motion to suppress the evidence.
