Appellant Heartland Chevrolet, Inc. appeals from a $47,500 judgment entered in the Circuit Court of Jackson County in favor of Respondent Aaron Bishop in an action filed by Bishop in which he claimed he was unlawfully terminated from his employment with Heartland in retaliation for exercising his rights under the workers' compensation law in violation of § 287.780.1
