Plaintiff Kathleen Garrow ("Garrow") was terminated as an employee of the Omni Hotel (the "Hotel") located in Newport News, Virginia. She subsequently filed this action, alleging that the elimination of her job as a cost reduction measure violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e(c) et seq. (Title VII).
