Moments after she left a convenience store where she had been accosted for shoplifting, Carolyn Cromartie struck and killed a pedestrian while driving her van. Cromartie was later convicted of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence (DUI), shoplifting, and other crimes. She now appeals on the grounds that the evidence was insufficient, and that the trial court erred when it admitted similar transaction evidence and when it denied her motions...
