Each of the defendants in these consolidated appeals was charged with Class A misdemeanor traffic offenses. The State sought to nol-pros the charges, which the circuit court of Will County allowed. The State later refiled the charges against each defendant. Each defendant moved to dismiss the new charges, citing Supreme Court Rule 505 (166 Ill.2d R. 505).
