Appellant Willie Moorer was indicted for armed carjacking, armed kidnapping, possession of a firearm during a crime of violence ("PFCV") associated with the carjacking, and PFCV associated with the kidnapping. After the close of the government's evidence, the trial court granted appellant's motion for judgment of acquittal on the armed kidnapping count and the PFCV count associated with the kidnapping.
