AFFIRMED

The defendant, Mr. Lonnie Allen, was convicted on September 23, 2003, of a second degree murder committed on April 27, 1999. He is now appealing his conviction and his sentence.

STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Mr. Allen was originally indicted by a grand jury, tried before a jury, and found guilty of the second degree murder of Norman Royal. In State v. Allen, 2000-0346 (La.App. 4 Cir. 10/17/01),
