The plaintiff in this case, Cumberland Farms, Inc. (plaintiff or Cumberland Farms), appeals from a Superior Court judgment awarding it $8,020 in damages as compensation from the State of Rhode Island Department of Transportation (defendant or DOT) for the taking of plaintiffs property by eminent domain.
