On 30 September 1992, plaintiff injured his back while working in the stockroom of defendant Roses' store in Belmont, N.C. He was paid workers' compensation benefits for temporary total disability for two weeks, as well as compensation for medical expenses. On 27 September 1994, plaintiff filed N.C.I.C.
