GOLDEN, Justice.

[¶ 1] Pro se Appellant BSC appeals from the district court's order terminating his parental rights to CC. He claims that the district court erred by refusing to appoint an attorney to represent him and by refusing to continue the termination hearing after learning that BSC had ingested medication which could affect his ability to defend himself.
