¶ 1 Nina L. Stackhouse (Nina) appeals the trial court's order denying her claim for alimony pendente lite (APL) and dismissing her complaint in divorce. The court determined that because the parties had never entered a licensed ceremonial marriage, Nina's claims are precluded by a decision of the Commonwealth Court that purported to abolish common law marriage in Pennsylvania.
