Lloyd Wilson Smith appeals his conviction for solicitation of sodomy of a person less than eighteen years of age in violation of Code §§ 18.2-29 and 18.2-361. Smith contends that the trial court erred by ruling that the Commonwealth could introduce negative evidence of his character as a law-abiding citizen if Smith called witnesses to testify and vouch for his reputation in the community for honesty and truthfulness.
