A jury convicted Carlos Lopez on eight criminal counts, including conspiracy to distribute cocaine base, distribution of cocaine base, and three firearms violations. On appeal, appellant raises two primary issues. First, he contends that key physical evidence, namely, a quantity of drugs and a loaded .40 caliber handgun, was obtained through an unlawful search of his vehicle.
