In 1996, defendant was convicted of murder in the second degree (three counts) and other related crimes and was sentenced to an aggregate term of imprisonment of 20 years to life. On appeal, the judgment of conviction was affirmed (244 A.D.2d 772 [1997], lv denied 91 N.Y.2d 977 [1998]). In 2003, defendant moved pursuant to CPL 440.10 to vacate his judgment of conviction on the ground of ineffective assistance...
