¶ 1. This case involves the prescription medication Propulsid, which is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease. On July 6, 2000, 155 plaintiffs filed this action against Janssen Pharmaceutica and Johnson & Johnson (hereinafter collectively "Janssen") in Jefferson County Circuit Court, alleging injuries caused by Propulsid.
