Richard Hicks, a federal prisoner, appeals his conviction and sentence for violating 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(8) by possessing firearms and ammunition while he was subject to a domestic restraining order. He alleges that the district court improperly admitted evidence and testimony at trial, improperly sentenced him, and incorrectly concluded that his challenge to the underlying protective order was barred by Fifth Circuit precedent.
