Defendant-Appellant Sidney F. Tafokitau (Tafokitau) appeals the Judgment filed on April 5, 2002 in the Circuit Court of the First Circuit (circuit court).1

Tafokitau was charged with and convicted of:

Counts I through VI: Robbery in the First Degree, in violation of Hawaii Revised Statutes (HRS) § 708-840(1)(b)(ii) (1993 & Supp.2003)
