John P. Petersen appeals his conviction in the Lancaster County District Court for manufacture of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), a Class III felony. The evidence supporting the conviction was found in a vehicle after a traffic stop. At issue is the legality of a pat-down search of the driver, Petersen, which produced a baggie of marijuana, which discovery led to a search of the vehicle, wherein materials for the manufacture of methamphetamine...
