Garrick Ashley ("Garrick") appeals his conviction for first-degree murder and his sentence of life in prison. Garrick argues that the circuit court erred in denying his motion for a directed verdict, in overruling a Batson objection to the State's exercising a peremptory challenge to juror Adanah Washington, and in denying the motion to suppress the in-custody statements. We find no merit in Garrick's assertions of error, and we affirm...
