Defendant was convicted by a jury of armed robbery, MCL 750.529; assault with intent to commit murder, MCL 750.83; and two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b. He was sentenced to prison terms of seventeen to fifty years for the armed robbery conviction, twenty-three to fifty years for the assault conviction, and to consecutive two-year terms for each of the felony...
