(ROI) sued Paradigm Oil, Inc., Pacific Operators, Inc., and Pacific Operators of Texas (collectively "Paradigm"), alleging breach of contract and fraud arising out of an oil and gas lease. In this appeal, appellant Paradigm seeks relief from "death penalty" sanctions and a post-answer default judgment entered against it by the trial court.
