DAVID PURYEAR, Justice.

Appellant Calvin Earl Feagins was convicted by a jury of aggravated assault on a public servant, a felony of the first-degree, and sentenced to thirty-eight years in prison. See Tex. Pen.Code Ann. § 22.02(b)(1) (West 2001). He appeals this conviction, contending that (1) he was denied his constitutional right to a cross-section of the community in his jury venire as a result of the district clerk's practice...
