This is an action for compensatory and punitive damages brought by the plaintiff, Jose L. Diaz ("Diaz"), acting pro se, against John Ashcroft, the Attorney General of the United States, and the United States Department of Justice pursuant to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq.
