Defendant, Teresita Gonzalez, entered a plea of nolo contendere to the misdemeanor offense of unlawful carrying of an illegal knife. The trial court assessed her punishment at nine months' confinement along with a $600.00 fine. Her nine-month sentence was suspended and she was placed on community supervision for a period of ten months. Subsequently, defendant was indicted for unlawful carrying of a handgun...
