Defendant, Roy Jacob Bell, was indicted for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and first-degree kidnapping. On 30 May 2003, a jury found defendant guilty of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and first degree kidnapping. The trial court sentenced defendant to consecutive active sentences of 42 to 60 months on the assault...
