Defendants County of Nassau and Nassau County Sheriff's Department (collectively the "County") appeal from (1) an "Amended Judgment" entered in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on March 31, 2003 ("2003 Judgment"), Denis R. Hurley, Judge, which ordered defendants to pay plaintiffs Neville Rangolan ("Rangolan") and Shirley Rangolan ("Shirley") (collectively "the Rangolans") a total of $820,000 in damages...
