Defendant Kevin Lamar Cottle was convicted of four counts of assault with a deadly weapon when he hit four people with his car. Defendant argues the trial court erred in refusing to allow him to reopen jury selection to exercise one of his two remaining peremptory challenges against Juror No. 12 after the original 12 trial jurors were sworn, but before the alternate jurors were sworn. Defendant made his request to reopen after Juror No. 12, on his own initiative...
