I. INTRODUCTION

Diana Fyffe sued her former landlord, Pattie Wright, for multiple violations of Alaska's landlord-tenant laws. Wright counterclaimed for damage to the rental property and unpaid rent. The superior court found fault on both sides and awarded damages to Fyffe, considerably offset by the money it found Fyffe owed Wright.
