On June 18, 2003, the plaintiff was injured in an accident in Orange County involving a motor vehicle owned and operated by the defendants. On August 6, 2003, the plaintiff filed a summons with notice in the Supreme Court, Kings County, based upon the defendant driver's place of residence.
