Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of four counts of animal fighting and three counts of perjury based upon an indictment alleging that he conducted pit bull fights at his home and, thereafter, lied to a grand jury about his involvement in such activities (see Agriculture and Markets Law § 351 [2], [3]; Penal Law § 210.15). County Court sentenced defendant, as a second felony offender, to prison terms of 11/3 to 4 years...
