Andres Fernando Moran Vargas ("Moran") was arrested for heroin possession after Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents found pellets of the drug in Moran's motel bathroom. Moran moved to suppress the narcotics evidence, arguing that the agents' search of the bathroom was illegal.
