Defendant was granted probation after the court convicted him in a court trial of grand theft of a trade secret in violation of Penal Code section 499c. On appeal, he challenges the sufficiency of the evidence to support the conviction. We find that the record contains insufficient evidence that information taken by defendant qualified as a trade secret under Penal Code section 499c. Thus, we must reverse...
