Sears, Roebuck and Company and Ford Motor Company each filed a petition for writ of mandamus challenging the trial court's discovery rulings in the underlying automotive brake asbestos litigation.1 The real parties in interest are the mother and father2 of Albert Douglas, Jr., who died at age 26 of mesothelioma.
