The dispute in this case involves alleged misrepresentations made by Vanderbilt Mortgage & Finance, Inc., concerning mortgages on manufactured homes. Michael and Betty Posey, Texas residents, sued individually and on behalf of a class composed of members from forty-four states. The Poseys alleged numerous deceptive trade practices under the Tennessee Consumer Protection Act...
