Appellant, Robert D. Clements, Jr. (Clements), sued appellee, Minnesota Life Insurance Company, in an action for the proceeds of his ex-wife's, Terry T. Clements's (Terry's), life insurance policy. Clements sought statutory damages under the Texas Insurance Code, and, among other things, prejudgment interest. In its final judgment, the trial court awarded $158,731.41 from policy funds and $17,900 in remaining funds...
