On July 1, 1993, a federal jury in the district of Massachusetts awarded Jennifer Hoult a $500,000 verdict against her father, David Hoult, for sexually abusing her throughout her childhood. The verdict was affirmed on appeal in Hoult v. Hoult, 57 F.3d 1, 2 (1st Cir.1995).
