Appellant Chancey Baird was convicted of attempted first-degree murder and sentenced to thirty years in prison. He appealed his conviction to the Arkansas Court of Appeals, which reversed the judgment on the ground that there were no exigent circumstances supporting a warrantless entry into his home. See Baird v. State, 83 Ark.App. 392, 128 S.W.3d 459 (2003). We granted the State's petition for review...
