In this personal injury action arising from an automobile accident on November 12, 2000, defendants met their initial burden of establishing that plaintiffs have not sustained "serious injury" within the meaning of Insurance Law § 5102 (d), and contrary to the motion court's finding, plaintiffs' submissions failed to raise an issue of fact.
