STATEMENT OF THE CASE

This lawsuit arises from an incident which occurred on Mardi Gras Day, February 25, 2001, in Carencro, Louisiana. The Plaintiff, Paul Zerbe, was maced, beaten, arrested and charged with two counts of battery upon a police officer and resisting arrest. The charges were later dismissed.
