The defendant, Paul Ripley, Jr., was convicted of theft and sentenced to five years at hard labor with credit for time served, the first year to be served without benefits and the remaining four years suspended. Defendant was placed on supervised probation and ordered, as a special condition of probation, to pay restitution in an amount determined by the probation officer, but not less than $15,000, to be paid within sixty days of his release from incarceration...
