Defendant, Darryl DeWayne Bright, was initially charged with one count of carjacking, one count of illegal possession of stolen things and two counts of resisting an officer. Defendant and the State entered into a plea agreement whereby Defendant would plead guilty to the carjacking charge in exchange for the State's dismissal of the remaining charges and its agreement not to file a habitual offender bill.
