The intervenor, Eagle Pacific Insurance Company, appeals the amount of reimbursement awarded by the trial court in this workers' compensation matter. The plaintiff, Ferrell Lavergne, entered into an unauthorized settlement with the defendants, Quality Fabricators of Eunice and Clarendon America Insurance Company (Quality Fabricators), for $25,000. In its intervention, Eagle Pacific was awarded that amount rather than the total amount of its workers' compensation...
