Defendant, Jamie Simmons, was convicted of two counts of armed robbery in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:64, and was sentenced to twenty years at hard labor on each count. Pursuant to a multiple bill filed by the State, the court vacated the twenty year sentence as to the second conviction, and imposed an enhanced sentence of imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
