Defendant, Russell L. Jones, was charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2. He waived his right to a jury trial and was tried by the court. Defendant was convicted as charged. Subsequently, Defendant was adjudicated a fourth-felony habitual offender and sentenced to 30 years at hard labor, without benefit of probation or suspension of sentence.
