Presiding Justice CAMPBELL delivered the opinion of the court:

In 1994, respondent Gerald Sveda was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault and child pornography and was sentenced to 30 and 15 years in prison, respectively, to be served consecutively. On appeal, this court vacated the conviction for aggravated criminal sexual assault, entered a conviction for criminal sexual assault, and reduced the sentences to 10 years on that charge and 5 years on the child...
