Opinion by Chief Justice MORRISS.

After a Dallas County jury rejected Randy Grider's claim of self-defense and found him guilty of the first-degree felony offense of murdering Johnny Ray Cole, Grider testified during the punishment phase of trial that he was defending himself from Cole, and that, when Cole quit fighting, Grider also quit fighting and left the scene.
