STATEMENT OF THE CASE

Vertis L. Alexander, defendant1 herein, was charged by Bill of Information on August 17, 1999 with distribution of crack cocaine on April 29, 1999 and on April 19, 1999. Distribution of crack cocaine is a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:967 A(1).

On appeal, the defendant argues that the trial court improperly tried him on two separate bills of information
