In October 1997, plaintiff and Hampton Design entered into an agreement pursuant to which the latter was to renovate and enlarge plaintiff's vacation home, located in East Hampton. In July 1998, plaintiff terminated Hampton Design's services on the grounds of failure to complete the work, inordinate delays, overbilling and failure to appear on the jobsite for extended periods of time. Thereafter, plaintiff filed a grievance with the Town of East Hampton Licensing Review Board...
