¶ 1. Jeffrey Johnson was indicted for the crime of burglary of an occupied dwelling in violation of Mississippi Code Annotated section 97-17-23 (Rev.2000). In the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial District of Jones County, a trial was held and the jury returned a verdict of guilty. Johnson was then sentenced to a term of twenty five years in the custody of the Mississippi Department...
